From Striving to Surrender

Here's my Tuesday confession:
January of 2024, after doing a spiritual fast, God opened my eyes to how much I was focused on building mySELF... even in my faith.
It included all the "self's": Self-sufficiency, self-empowerment, self-development, and self-driven.
God revealed how focused I was on building my life by my own strength, instead of His.
"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit," says the Lord Almighty." - Zechariah 4:6
"But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness" - 2 Corinthians 12:9
He's been teaching me that the Lord, delights in our weaknesses, so He can show up as our strength.
It's a vulnerable place to be, living by Gods grace, instead of our own will.
To surrender our will, agendas, strength to Him, we are perfected by Him.
This way of being is the complete opposite of what the world teaches and praises.
As a wife, mom, business owner, non-profit owner, and friend - I was so familiar with the self-sufficient habits and mindsets that kept me a slave to them.
My daily ways were striving to exhaustion, while yelling, "I CAN DO IT!" 
The truth is, without Jesus I'm limited, weak, and focused on my selfish desires that leads to PURE emptiness.
Jesus is the only One who can ESTABLISH us.
"I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being" - Ephesians 3:16
If you relate to this, feeling a conviction by the Holy Spirit, then that's a sweet gift to receive. Gods ways are kind, His love is greater than any obstacle we face, and He's constantly inviting us into more freedom.
This is an invitation for you 
I encourage you to pray:
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for showing me where I try to do things in my own strength, instead of by Your Spirit. Forgive me for not living by Your grace and Spirit, but leaning too heavily on self-sufficiency in striving and not surrender. I invite You to teach me how to live moment by moment by Your Spirit and strength with a surrendered heart. I receive this by faith. In Jesus Name, Amen.
